La Vall de Gallinera, also called the Valley of Cherry Blossoms, is definitely something special for nature lovers. At La Vall de Gallinera you can enjoy all five senses. La Vall de la Gallinera consists of a group of small villages called Benirrama, Benialí, Benisivá, Benitaia, La Carroja, Alpatró, Llombai and Benisili. The villages are situated in a row along the valley formed by the course of the river Gallinera and enclosed by the Sierras de Les Solanes, del Almirante and the Sierra Foradá, which is connected to the Vall d‘Alcalá. Almonds, olives or cherries are grown here. It is one of the most beautiful places in this area and in the months of March and October you can enjoy a wonderful spectacle here when the sun‘s rays cross the Foradà and illuminate the Franciscan monastery of Benitaia. A large public swimming pool is available to the valley during the summer months. To Pego, the next bigger town with an excellent infrastructure, it takes about 20 minutes by car ( 13km). The beaches are about 30 to 40 minutes away. The airports of Alicante and Valencia are a good 1 ½ hours away.
